Founder Boston Osteopathic Health

Dr William (Bill) Foley, D.O., M.Sc. has been practicing traditional osteopathic medicine since 2001.  He founded Boston Osteopathic Health in Newton, MA in 2008. From that time, Boston Osteopathic Health has blossomed to include additional physicians and two sites to meet increasing patient needs. Using his extensive knowledge of conventional as well as non-traditional medicine, combined with traditional osteopathic treatments, he offers his patients the most comprehensive care possible.

Dr Foley is an Osteopathic Physician, Board Certified in Family Medicine, Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine, and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Department of Family Medicine and is Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine for Tufts School of Medicine. He has also served as an Assistant Professor of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at the University of New England. Additionally, he has held the position of Director of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital, the University of Massachusetts, as well as Great Brook Valley Health Center.  

For many years, Dr Foley served as a committee member for the AAO and board member for the Massachusetts Osteopathic Society.  He also served 4 years as President of the Mass Osteopathic Society and is currently on the board of the Osteopathic Cranial Academy. 

As a faculty member for the Biodynamics of Osteopathy (founder James Jealous, DO) and A Still Sutherland Study Group (founder Anne Wales, DO), Dr Foley regularly delivers several osteopathic lectures throughout the year.  He has lectured at local, national, and international medical conferences for such groups as Harvard Medical School, the Osteopathic Cranial Academy, the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundations, the American Academy of Osteopathy, the University of Massachusetts of Medical School, the Bavarian Pediatric School of Traditional Osteopathy, Integrated Osteopathic Studies International, Formacion i Desenvolupament en Osteopatia, Centre d’Osteopatía d’Infants, and the Swiss Osteopathic Centre for Kids.
